If you are a resident of the Town of Durham, are 18 years of age,
and are a United States citizen, you may register to vote in Durham
through the Town Clerk's office. In addition, the Supervisors of
the Checklist have a session 10 days prior to each election. If
you have not registered before that 10-day period, you may register
at the polls and vote that same day. Once you are registered, your
name remains on the checklist for all Town, State, Federal and School
District elections.
The Supervisors require proof of age, domicile for voting purposes
[reference NH
RSA 654:1] in Durham (license or other document with residence
address) and citizenship (birth certificate, passport, or other
document showing when and where you were born). If you are a naturalized
citizen, you should bring your naturalization papers when you register.
Lacking proof of residence and/or citizenship, you may sign affidavits
under oath.
