Hi Michael,
 
What were you thinking to recommend that the Mei Wei proposal should 
go to the Technical Review Group instead of to public hearing!  A dance 
hall with a bar that serves alcohol and would be open until 1AM is clearly in 
conflict with the testimony from the public regarding the Mill Plaza.
 
Paul Berton's brainstorm to have a 'cafe' that serves alcohol with an 
outdoor performance venue in the Professional Office zone doesn't allow a 
theater, which is intended to be in a building, not outside.  Paul even 
stated that there was a possibility that he could be "barking up the wrong 
tree."  The intent of the zoning is obvious, and his proposal should not go 
forward.
 
Some recent proposals have been a waste of time for the public and the 
Planning Board.
I suggest that  the Planning Board should discourage lengthly meetings 
with preliminary plans that are unproductive and take up an inordinate and 
unjustifiable amount of time.
 
Please send my comments to all members of the Planning Board and post 
them to the web sites for both projects.  Thank you.
