While I'm strongly in favor of allowing and encouraging a range of housing types downtown, especially workforce and elderly housing, I am persuaded by Councilor Jim Lawson's arguments regarding the negative fiscal impact of allowing more student housing to be built downtown at a time when supply of student housing now outstrips demand. I also support adding a new definition for Mixed Use with Elderly Housing to be allowed as a conditional use in the CBD. Thank you for your consideration. Respectfully, Kate Ruml 7 Thompson Lane
