How long have you lived in Durham? 1.5 years
Have you previously served on any government/community, civil boards, commissions, or organizations? If so, please provide a brief background of your prior experience. I have served as an alternate member of the library board of trustees since June 2024. I am also a current board member for the NH Toy Library. I served as President of the Young Adult Librarians of New Hampshire in 2019. Additionally, I served as Recruitment Chair for the New Leaders Council from 2021 - 2023.
Please provide a brief paragraph explaining your interest in being elected/re-elected to the position for which you are running. As a former public librarian and lifetime library user, I have seen first-hand the impact that public libraries have on communities. Our library provides Durham residents community connection, access to information, a diverse collection, digital resources, free programming, and so much more. I have been honored to serve as an alternate trustee and look forward to supporting the library in this role.
