Reason for Interest in Running for Elected Office:
I want to work in a constructive way with the town administration, boards and citizens to promote the Durham we love and are proud to call home. It is important to listen to citizen input and to consider all sides of issues before making decisions that will impact the quality of life in this town for the foreseeable future.

I would like to:

  • continue to build on the strong environmental efforts that have allowed us to preserve so many natural areas to enjoy.
  • assist the Town in addressing the realities of climate change.
  • work to create a vibrant and welcoming downtown residents to spend more time, one that continues to prospective residents.
  • want to enhance the ‘sense of community’ that has been a core value in several Master Plans.
  • preserve the rich historical heritage of our town, especially within the Historic District.

I have been fortunate to live, work and raise my family in this unique college town and want to work toward ensuring a positive legacy for residents, their children and grandchildren.
