Robin Vogt - Town Councilor
Occupation: Non-Profit Field Organizer
Education: Granite State College: Bachelors in Education/Special Education
How long have you lived in Durham?: I have lived in Durham for 1 year and 1 Month
Have you previously served on any government/community, civil boards, commissions, or organizations? If so, please provide a brief background of your prior experience. I was elected State Representative for Rockingham District 21 when living in Portsmouth (2022-2023) and served on the NH House Environment & Agriculture Committee. I also served on the Resources Subcommittee during my time on the committee and had the honor of being in the NH House Progressive Caucus and serving as the Communications Director during the legislative session.
Please provide a brief paragraph explaining your interest in being elected/re-elected to the position for which you are running: Being a Town Councilor in Durham is a great honor and comes with many responsibilities. Responsibility to act and speak up on behalf of our residents’ concerns and evaluate the best solutions to achieve the outcomes that move our community forward. My experiences in the New Hampshire House of Representatives and service on the House Environment & Agriculture Committee, maintaining close contact and discussion with municipal leaders have prepared me to serve my community. I come to this work with great interest in improving everyday life for residents, students, and faculty who call Durham home. No matter how big or small the action might be, it must be brought forth and a solution discussed. Preserving and improving our town is what comes first and that is why I am running for the position of Town Council; there is so much we can get done together.
