Reason for Interest in Running for Elected Office:

Public libraries are arguably one of the most important institutions in any community, supporting intellectual freedom, and providing users with a venue to read, seek information, and speak freely as guaranteed by the First Amendment.  It is vital that they remain free and open to serve the needs of their communities.  I would welcome the opportunity to share my many years of library experience, as a library automation consultant, administrator, and most recently as Interim Library Director at Durham Public Library, to provide strategic direction to DPL in support of its path to becoming one of the most progressive libraries in NH.
