Durham Public Library
A public library with the following mission statement: to enhance the quality of life in Durham through open access to ideas and information, encourage exploration and learning in people of all ages, and support cultural enrichment by establishing the library as a center of our community.
Permitted uses and use restrictions:
- Anyone can use the library
- A library card is required to check out books; the following are able to get a card: Durham residents and taxpayers, town employees, UNH students, Oyster River School District students under age 18
Existing Amenities:
- Website: http://www.durhampubliclibrary.org
- Library newsletter
- New facility built in 2012-2013; utilized a portion of the existing residence
- Parking, bike racks, electric car charging station, rain garden, solar panels, historic family cemetery
- Meeting rooms, educational classes, printing and fax, notary public, interlibrary loan, extensive resource collection
