Durham Demographic and Population Data Prepared by Jim Lawson
Former Town Councilor Jim Lawson is assisting with the drafting the Master Plan Economic Development Chapter by reviewing and analyzing economic and population data from sources that include the 2013 American Community Survey, 2010 US Census, New Hampshire OEP and the Durham Assessor’s property database. These sources present different views of Durham, and no one source presents a complete profile of Durham’s population including on-campus students, off-campus Students and permanent residents. At the Town Council meeting on March 2, 2015, Mr. Lawson presented a short summary of Durham data available from different sources and suggested a profile of Durham’s population for the fall of 2015. His presentation is provided below.
