Public Hearing on Ordinance Regarding Tobacco/Vaping Products in Durham
The Durham Town Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at the Durham Town Hall on the following ordinance:
Ordinance #2019-02: Creating a new chapter within the Durham Town Code, Chapter 145 “Tobacco Products”, to increase the age for the purchase, use, and possession of tobacco products, e-cigarettes, vaping products or liquid nicotine from 18 to 21 in the Town of Durham and requires Durham merchants to ensure this act by verifying legitimate identification at the time of purchase.
The proposed ordinance is available for viewing in the Administrator’s Office located on the second floor of Town Hall at 8 Newmarket Road during normal office hours 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or on the town website at http://www.ci.durham.nh.us.
Interested citizens are invited to attend the public hearing and express their views.
