Proposed Ordinance for Keeping Goats

May 11, 2016 - ENDORSED

Public Hearing on Proposed Ordinance for Keeping Goats.  The Durham Agricultural Commission has developed a proposed ordinance to allow keeping a limited number of goats as an accessory use to single-family and two-family residences.  The draft is based loosely on the ordinance adopted in 2013 for the keeping of poultry.  The Commission is requesting that the Planning Board initiate the ordinance as an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance.  Presented by Theresa Walker, Chair of the Agricultural Commission.
