Utility Line Changes on Mill Road

Utility Line on Mill Road. Eversource has initiated a project to retire the Durham electric substation located on Mill Road at the railroad tracks. The circuit that feeds down Mill Road will be rebuilt and the existing 35 – 40 foot poles will be replaced with new 50 foot poles and wires with spacer cable (“Hendrix” wire). According to Eversource, the project will enhance reliability to the Mill Road area and enable continued improvement to the Eversource system in town. This project does not involve site plan review by the Planning Board but it is being presented to inform the public. After the presentation members of the public will be welcome to ask questions about the project.
