Heavy Equipment Operator

We are looking for a team player to work in our Highway division as a heavy equipment operator.  This is a full-time, AFSCME unionized position that offers excellent medical, dental, life and disability coverage, eleven paid holidays per year, and state retirement.  High school diploma or GED equivalent are minimum educational requirements to apply.  Applicants must have a commercial driver’s license, class A or B with at least 3 years driving experience and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.   

Must be willing to be on call for 24-hour emergency operations such as snow plowing.  Hourly wages starting at $21.43, plus opportunities for overtime.
