The Town of Durham is seeking to purchase and deliver to the project site a Prefabricated Pedestrian
Bridge with dimensions of 100 feet long by 6 feet wide. This aluminum bridge will be installed over the
Oyster River and will connect a pedestrian path from Orchard Drive to the existing extension of
Thompson Lane in Durham, New Hampshire. The bridge will be placed and anchored to reinforced
concrete abutments. This RFP is for prefabrication and delivery of the bridge only.

with the following subject line “PROPOSAL ENCLOSED – DO NOT OPEN UNTIL 06/26/20 AT
2:00PM – OYSTER RIVER”. Proposals must be received by the date and time noted above any
proposals received after the date and time noted above will be rejected.
The documents comprising the Request for Proposals may be obtained from HEB Engineers, Inc. by
contacting them at info@hebengineers.com or (603) 356-6936.
Proposals must be held firm and cannot be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the opening date.
Along with the Proposal, the Bidder shall supply Certificates of Insurance to the Town, as defined in the
Supplementary Conditions.
The contractor shall also provide evidence of qualifications with supporting data with the bid, as defined in
the Instructions to Bidders.
The Town reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving
price, time or changes in the Work, and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder, and the
right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids. Also, the Town
reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder if the Town believes that it would not be in the best
interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is non-responsive, or the
Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability, or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria
established by Owner. Discrepancies in the multiplication of units of Work and unit prices will be resolved
in favor of the unit prices. Discrepancies between the indicated sum of any column of figures and the
correct sum thereof will be resolved in favor of the correct sum.
