Exemption for Persons 65 or Older
This Exemption is applied to the assessed value of a property as follows:
For a person age 65-74, the exemption is $175,000 off the assessed value.
For a person age 75-79, the exemption is $225,000 off the assessed value.
For a person age 80 or older, the exemption is $275,000 off the assessed value.
Please see the Qualifications Information below to determine if you qualify for this exemption. If you do, please submit the Worksheet and Affidavit, and all relevant financial information to the Assessing Office by April 15. An application will be filled out at time of submittal.
Notify the Assessor's Office at tcutler@ci.durham.nh.us with any address changes as this may necessitate reapplying for this exemption.
