Durham Fire Department Job Opening - Firefighter/AEMT

Firefighter/AEMT
The Durham Fire Department is hiring for the position of Firefighter/AEMT.
Applicants must meet the requirements of the NH Code of Administrative Rules PART Fire 701 (Firefighter Entrance Requirements) with a valid CPAT Certificate, Pro-Board Firefighter II Certification, and/or listing on the State of NH Firefighter Hiring/Eligibility List. Lateral transfer candidates are encouraged to apply and must meet PART Fire 703 (Transfers). Candidates must successfully complete a polygraph examination as well as psychological, medical, and background pre-employment screening. Before completion of the first year of employment, the candidate must: become certified as an Advanced EMT through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT); obtain a CDL-B driver’s license (with Air Brakes and Tanker endorsement); and pass an intensive yearlong probationary training program. A college degree with course work in a related field is desired, but not required. The pay range for the position is $48,049 to $70,364, commensurate with experience and NREMT certification level (EMT, AEMT, Paramedic), plus educational incentives and a competitive benefits package.
