Durham Fire Department Job Opening - Firefighter/EMT

Join the Durham Fire Department as a Firefighter/EMT
The Durham Fire Department is excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Firefighter/EMT. We are currently accepting applications to fill an open vacancy and to create a hiring eligibility list.
What You’ll Need:
Applicants must meet the requirements of the NH Code of Administrative Rules PART Fire 701 (Mandatory Hiring Standards). This includes psychological, medical, and background pre-employment screening with a valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) certificate.
What You’ll Need to Achieve:
Within the first year of employment, candidates must successfully obtain Pro-Board Firefighter II certification; EMT certification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT); CDL-B driver’s license (with Air Brakes and Tanker endorsement); and complete an intensive probationary training program.
Preferred Qualifications:
A college degree with course work in a related field and Advanced EMT certification is desired, but not required.
Lateral Transfers:
Lateral transfer candidates are encouraged to apply and must meet PART Fire 703 (Transfers).
Compensation:
The base pay range for the position is $50,056 to $70,364, commensurate with experience and NREMT certification level, plus educational incentives and a competitive benefits package.
